I have never made a rain barrel, and I am no expert in rain barrels.  I am a little curious about how to create a rain barrel.   While some parts of the country may have excess flooding, there are others that have experience dry season and have watering restrictions.  Collecting rain water is a great way to store water for future watering.  It also saves money on the cost of using city or county water.
